Qwest Communications International (www.qwest.com) announced that Outback Steakhouse (www.outbacksteakhouse.com), the operator of 1,000 restaurants in 50 states and 21 countries, has signed a two-year contract for managed web hosting services with Qwest.
Qwest’s hosting co-location service guarantees unproblematic daily network operations for Outback security for its data that will be monitored and maintained in Qwest’s secure CyberCenter environment. Qwest’s high-tech CyberCenter hosting facilities in Tampa, Florida and Chicago, Illinois will provide firewall and disaster recovery services for Outback as well. Qwest’s hosting and disaster recovery services ensure that Outback’s data will be well managed a secure from frequent outages and downtime. The contract allows Outback to concentrate on its restaurant business.
