Useful partnership has been established between HelmTastic (helmtastic.com), an online portal offering the Helm control panel and related hosting
software, and IT Web Solutions (it-web-solutions.com), a division of UK-based Web hosting provider
123HostNow. Under the deal, the two companies will partner in marketing
the URL Protector, a software product that protects directories on Microsoft IIS.
The software product-focus of the agreement-has been designed by IT Web Solutions. It is developed for Windows
hosting operations. URL Protector uses htaccess files in order to provide an easy way of protecting Windows
directories.
The developer of URL Protector predicates that its product gives IIS users advanced folder protection options.
According to the company, those of the users that require simple password protection can use text files within the directory.
These files can be managed via FTP, scripts and integration with Helm, a Windows hosting automation solution developed
by UK-based WebHost Automation (webhostautomation.com). As to advanced users, they are provided with
authentication against databases such as MSSQL, Access, LDAR or ADSI.
