After an expedient process of searching for the best solution, Data393, a locally owned co-location and managed Web hosting services
company, has decided
to adopt Plesk7 from SWsoft,
the world's leading provider of hosting software, as its standard control panel for new dedicated server, shared and bulk reseller server
customers. The Plesk platform has been preferred due to its capability of providing customers with the best stability, features and
management tools.
The newly-adopted software services the Data393's need of a platform with a strong performance history that simplifies to a considerable
extent the management of an Internet presence. The SWsoft product has been qualified by Paul Beckelheimer, Data393 Vice President of Operations,
as an outstanding means of meeting the need of Data393
to support both Linux and Windows from a single control panel.
Plesk7 software incorporates 60 new enhancements, including a new sub-domain
manager, a multi-level trouble ticketing system, custom button and skin management, a site builder and osCommerce e-commerce software
support. Customers of Data393 will also be leveraged with other new features such as a newly designed Windows XP-like user interface,
equipped with SpamAssassin, an open source anti-spam
tool, and includes "Application Vault," an extendible application repository that allows point and click packaging,
configuration and installation for hundreds of applications.
The adoption of Plesk7 by Data393 constites a very useful complement to the company's successful policy of hosting even the most complex
applications and data-rich web sites by having connections from eight separate
Tier-1 Internet service providers. This promising move is expected to help the web hosting provider expand its offerings and improve
its server management
and administration processes.
