VeriCenter (www.vericenter.com), a web hosting company, has notified its shared web hosting customers using its AppSite Hosting and DellHost brands that it would transfer their shared web hosting accounts to PureHost (www.purehost.com) starting from March 31, 2004. PureHost said on its website that the transfer would be made to serve the specific needs of shared and dedicated hosting customers separately. The site also states that AppSite hosting would continue to serve dedicated hosting customers, while shared hosting customers would be migrated to the PureHost’s platform and supported by PureHost.
According to the two companies, PureHost would deal with the transfer process with minimum inconvenience for customers, although some may have to change their DNS settings. AppSite said that disk space, traffic and POP features of the web hosting service will remain the same, but take over customer support and billing services as well.
