VeriCenter, Inc. (www.vericenter.com), a Houston, Texas-based IT infrastructure and managed services company, announced on January 13 an agreement with VanillaSoft (http://vanillasoft.com), a New Orleans, Louisiana-based sales force automation software provider, to provide enterprise hosting and managed services for this leading sales force automation services provider. VeriCenter will enable VanillaSoft to reduce IT costs while improving customer service for its growing customer base.
Before its selection, VanillaSoft assessed enterprise hosting providers on their abilities to deliver ASP value in the U.S. and globally based on reliability, fully managed capabilities and customer service. VeriCenter offered a 100 percent network availability guarantee and managed services that could scale from one to 100,000 concurrent users.
VanillaSoft's CEO Ken Murray said that VeriCenter is now VanillaSoft's virtual data center, that VeriCenter enables VanillaSoft to focus on development as well as marketing and selling VanillaSoft’s ASP service, that its affordable solution costs VanillaSoft less than 10 percent of VanillaSoft’s revenues, and that VanillaSoft expects its hosting costs to trend downward when VanillaSoft scales to 100,000 users. Gray Hall, president and CEO of VeriCenter, said that VeriCenter’s solution for VanillaSoft shows that the vision of utility computing is quickly becoming today's reality.
