PIPEX Communications (www.pipex.net), the first ISP which brought the Internet to the UK businesses, announced on April 29 that it has acquired the dedicated and shared Web hosting provider Donhost (www.donhost.co.uk) to further enhance its hosting capabilities and provide a reseller-based hosting solution. PIPEX acquired Donhost for GBP 5.9 million.
Mike Read, CEO of PIPEX, said that having completed the integration of Host Europe and Nildram over the last eight months, PIPEX is now well placed to further strengthen the hosting part of its portfolio with the acquisition of Donhost, and that with an established reseller offering, Donhost augments PIPEX’s existing product set to extend PIPEX’s relationships with the reseller community and reach new customers.
