Rackforce (www.rackforce.com), provider of web hosting services based in Canada, announced on August 25, 2004 that it has introduced ddsHurricane, its newest dedicated server. The dedicated server includes cPanel (www.cpanel.net) automation software preinstalled and features two IPs, 10GB of hard disk space, an unmetered Internet connection offering over 400GB of bandwidth and a guaranteed minimum of 256MB of RAM and 300MHz of CPU cycles. The new servers are immediately available for $49.95 a month.
Brian Fry, vice president of sales for Rackforce, said that as with other servers in the DDS family, customer could start with an entry-level virtual server, like the ddsHurricane, and upgrade to a fully dedicated server like the company’s ddsVenom with no configuration changes, no downtime and no cost for the transition. He noted that Rackforce knew that success oriented resellers needed scaleable servers and that was why the company had put so much effort into engineering its “DDS” model. Fry added that Rackforce believed that it was the next generation in hosting solutions.
