Liquid Web (www.liquidweb.com), a web hosting provider, announced on June 14, 2004 that it has signed an agreement with Savvis Communications (www.savvis.net) for additional network capacity for Liquid Web’s data center in Lansing, Michigan. According to Liquid Web, the addition of Savvis would improve the performance and redundancy of the company’s bandwidth portfolio.
Mathew Hill, CEO of Liquid Web, said that the Savvis IP network was clearly the most accurate match on quality and latency performance to compliment Liquid Web’s premium bandwidth network. He noted that Liquid Web spent months testing and evaluating nearly every tier-one provider on the market and in the end the decision was made based on the impressive performance of the Savvis network. Hill added that Liquid Web’s focus remained on creating a premium network and in doing so, the company would continue to add only the finest high performance providers to its data center.
