The Web hosting provider VeriCenter Inc. (www.vericenter.com) announced on February 10 that the graphic arts services provider Kodak Polychrome Graphics (www.kpgraphics.com) has outsourced its US-based managed services and enterprise hosting requirements to VeriCenter. The move will replace KPG's 40 legacy systems with a single SAP platform in VeriCenter's facility. KPG estimates that it will receive a $12.5 million return on investment in this solution over four years.
In 2004, KPG decided to change its managed services and enterprise hosting provider according to analyses performed by outsourcing experts TPI, Inc. and industry analyst Gartner Inc. VeriCenter now administers the data centers and help desks for KPG, and hosts its SAP system, while the company retains LAN administration, application development and desk-side support.
