GeoTrust (www.geotrust.com), a provider of identity verification and e-security solutions, announced that Jeffrey A. Weber has been appointed chief financial officer of the company. Weber will supervise company’s growth, identify partnership opportunities and assess potential acquisitions. Prior to joining GeoTrust, Weber was vice president of finance and chief financial officer for Storigen Systems. He has also occupied CFO and senior finance positions at Gensym Corporation, Summa Four and Computer Identics.
Neal Creighton, co-founder, president and CEO of GeoTrust, said that the company was happy that an executive of Weber’s caliber has joined GeoTrust at a critical time in its development. He stated that GeoTrust has grown tremendously in 2004, both in North America, where it was the leading brand of newly issued digital certificates, and abroad. Creighton noted that the company’s market was healthy and it was in an excellent position to continue its expansion through both organic growth and partnerships. He added that Weber would play a core role in these activities.
