Orlando Sentinel announced on November 1, 2004 that Jeffrey Burges, president of Burges Property Co. of San Diego has bought a data center belonging to the telecommunications carrier AT&T (www.att.com) and located at 9701 S. John Parkway in Orlando, Florida. The 130,863-square-foot data center was bought for $10.5 million.
According to the publication, Burges sated that sale of AT&T’s data center was a part of the company’s restructuring efforts. The publication said that Burges intended to market the facility as a “major information-processing complex” and was actively searching to buy additional data centers.
