HelmTastic (www.helmtastic.com), an online resource portal selling the Helm control panel (helm.webhostautomation.com) and other web hosting software, announced on October 20, 2004 that it has bought HelmGuru (www.helmguru.com), a provider of Helm tutorials. The deal included the complete HelmGuru.com customer base. Financial details of the acquisition were not revealed. HelmGuru tutorials use Flash animation to demonstrate to end users how to use the Helm Software. According to HelmTastic, it intendeds to offer the tutorials through the HelmTastic store separately as well as combined with Helm software. The company intends to introduce a reseller series to the tutorials as well.
Andy Gambles, managing director of AGUK Solutions Ltd, said that with this acquisition the company would be able to further extend its range of products and services to its customers. He noted that the current tutorials would be updated and a new Helm reseller series forthcoming. Gambles added that customers could expect high quality tutorials at a competitive price.
