Inflow (www.inflow.com), a provider of outsourced technology services, announced on August 17, 2004 that it has signed a hosting contract with HealthSpring, a managed care organization in Middle Tennessee. HealthSpring has more than 190,000 commercial and 28,000 Medicare members. The organization has a contract with the federal government to work as a Medicare Advantage organization and provide area Medicare beneficiaries an alternative to traditional Medicare.
Last year, HealthSpring changed from a 12-hour, Monday-to-Friday operation to a 24-hour seven-days-a-week operation and needed real-time access to its critical data on demand. After considering the necessary efforts to support these requirements, HealthSpring chose to outsource the task. The organizations requirements for choosing a hosting provider included cost, an upstanding reputation derived from reference interviews and strategic vision. HealthSpring conducted an in-depth evaluation process and selected Inflow to supply hosting services for the organization’s Linux-based web application, managed security services and business continuance consulting.
