Easy Internet Solutions (www.easy-internet.co.uk) announced last week that it has introduced 99pHost (www.99phost.co.uk), a new web hosting service. According to the company, this is the first web hosting service that offers a SMS payment option. Customers who decide to order the service by a SMS are supplied with a six-letter order code, which they can send from their cell phones to Easy Internet Solutions’ order line. The SMS payment option allows phone purchases to be made without the need of a credit card. The new service features 99MB of disk space, 999MB of monthly traffic, 99 POP3 e-mail accounts, 99 mailing lists, 99 FTP accounts and free website building tools.
Mark Esho, managing director of Easy Internet Solutions, said that paying for web hosting services by SMS was great news for people who disliked using their credit cards online or did not pay by plastic. He added that student, under 18s and people with poor credit ratings stood to benefit from the company’s system.
