Data393 (data393.com), a co-location and managed web hosting services provider, announced on March 12, 2004 that it would use Plesk 7 web hosting control panel from SWsoft for its new dedicated server, shared and bulk reseller server customers.
In January 2004, Data393 merged with Huge Hosting and Ventures Online and added more than 10,000 customers to its 6,200-square-food data center facility in Denver, Colorado. Data393’s data center has connections to eight Tier-1 Internet service providers. Hughes Network Systems selected Data393 as a “point of presence” for its next-generation broadband satellite system.
Data393 has chosen Plesk 7 web hosting control panel for its stability features and management tools after a thorough review of the best control panel applications.
Paul Beckelheimer, vice president of operations at Data393, said that Plesk 7 was an outstanding, world-class product that met the company’s needs to support both Linux and Windows from a singe control panel. He noted that Data393’s customers would gain the benefit of more stable and robust functionality than they had received previously. Beckelheimer said that Plesk had a strong performance history and greatly simplified the management of an Internet presence. He added that stability and access to right tools were the key and Plesk 7 would allow Data393 to deliver that promise to the company’s growing customer base.
