NetNation (www.netnation.com), a Canada-based managed hosting and Web hosting provider, announced on June 6 its expansion into a new state-of-the-art data center in Austin, Texas. This move will give NetNation the opportunity to provide its US customers with extremely low ping times from Coast to Coast and to Central and South America. The new data center is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by building security. An engineering response team is always available to ensure the highest uptime rates possible. It boasts 60,000 square feet of space, and multiple and redundant direct OC-12 (622Mbit/s) links that scale to OC-48 (2.5 Gbit/s) to the backbone hubs.
Dale Bunten, NetNation's Dedicated Product Manager, said that providing NetNation's customers the fastest service possible is NetNation's top priority, and that expanding NetNation's facilities into a technology hub such as Austin allows NetNation to do that and meet the overwhelming demand NetNation has experienced in the managed hosting sector over the past two years.
