Coyote Point Systems (www.coyotepoint.com) announced on July 12, 2004 that BigBuzz, a business application developer based on Long Island, would use Coyote’s Equalizer traffic management solution to maintain a stable, manageable and cost effective network. Coyote Point’s existing network infrastructure will be used by BigBuzz to simplify the management and maintenance of its server farm, giving BigBuzz the opportunity to deliver exceptional client service with availability of 99.999 percent successfully. In addition, the deal will allow BigBuzz to decrease overall IT expenses and maximize data center real estate through Coyote Point’s Equalizer.
Kevin Kelly, president and CEO of BigBuzz, said that the company ultimately decided to implement Coyote Point’s Equalizer E350 based on its compatibility, flexibility, manageability and value. He added that since implementing the Equalizer, BigBuzz had never had a website crash due to a network challenge and the company has been able to expand its services without having to incur significant IT costs.
