The hosting automation software provider Ensim Corporation (www.ensim.com) announced on January 11 that the Belgian telecommunications provider Belgacom (www.belgacom.be) has chosen Ensim Unify as the hosting automation platform for its new Communication Tools offering. Unify will enable Belgacom to deliver, manage and control Exchange 2003 as a hosted service from its data center facilities, incorporating integrated service managers for hosted Exchange 2003, Windows Web hosting, MS SQL and Windows SharePoint Services.
Stijn Vander Plaetse, head of product management for data products at Belgacom, said that Ensim Unify offers a highly scalable, open architecture solution that makes it possible for Belgacom to migrate over 100,000 email accounts to hosted Exchange 2003, and that Belgacom can now offer the feature-rich Communication Tools email service bundled with Belgacom’s broadband offering to new customers.
Belgacom's Communication Tools is designed to provide companies with a cost-effective means of high-performance messaging and collaboration. For 5 euro per month per email box, customers will have all the advantages of a professional email solution, says the company, including viruses scanning, spam filtering, storage and backups.
