365 Main (www.365main.net), a data center operator, announced on August 2, 2004 that it has signed a contract to host and manage the data center operations for ABM Industries, a facility service contractor. According to 365 Main, which is based in downtown San Francisco, its data center facility has experienced no downtime since its launch.
Anthony Lackey, vice president and chief technology officer form ABM, said that since ABM has adopted a thin-client, server-based computing systems architecture, the company required a Class IV data center for hosting its systems. He noted that 365 Main was one of the best data centers in its class. Lackey added that ABM Industries was confident that 365 Main could help it provide the system reliability the company’s customers demanded.
Kevin Shanahan, vice president of sales and marketing for 365 Main, said that the company looked forward to broadening its professional rapport with ABM Industries to offer them its reliable and innovative expertise in data center operations management. He added that as a leader in the facility service industry, ABM had provided 365 Main with exceptional engineering, janitorial and security services in the past and the company was pleased to extend its mutually beneficial working relationship.
