The application service provider 2ndSite (www.secondsite.biz) announced on January 27 that it has released version 2.6 of its Web hosting billing service, the fifth update since the service was launched in May 2004. The latest version includes new pricing, a proprietary affiliate tracking system and increased emphasis on the integrated support ticketing system. It also introduces a streamlined version for users who only want to bill their clients using 2ndSite. 2ndSite also comes with white label and reseller options for Web hosts.
The company said that 2ndSite is not designed exclusively for Web hosts, but that it does offer features, like a support ticketing system, that Web hosts like to offer their clients, that the real benefit to hosts is that 2ndSite can help them generate new streams of revenue, and that 2ndSite is working on a number of undisclosed channel partnerships in and around the hosting space. 2ndSite recently signed a partnership with Electracash (www.electracash.com), an e-check processor, offering 2ndSite resellers per transaction revenue sharing opportunities.
