The UK-based Web design company NM Consulting (www.nm-design.co.uk) announced on January 18 that it has been awarded European Brokerage Marine Website of the Year 2005 for its design of the Thames Boat Sales (www.thamesboatsales.co.uk) website. The boats.com Marine Industry Web Awards were held at The London Boat Show at ExCel in London January 11. Thames Boat Sales Directors Chris Manners and Dominic Smulders, together with website designer Niki Molnar from NM Consulting were on hand to accept the award at the ceremony aboard the Royal Navy Frigate HMS Sutherland, docked at the show.
Site designer Niki Molnar of NM Consulting said that it was important that the customer was the No. 1 priority in designing the website, that one of the most important features that emerged was the Boat Cost Calculator, which is unique among the industry's websites, and that it gives the customer the costs involved in purchasing any boat listed on the site, leaving them with no surprises.
