Unify Corp. made known the forthcoming release of the latest version of its NXJ process automation tool. NXJ 10.5 provides a design environment and framework for creating and maintaining business Web applications on J2EE. The solution has been designed to address the needs of medium and large-sized businesses.
The soon-to-be-released version of NXJ enables web developers to build business processes on the basis of a design template. The template incorporates an
interaction server and a design and development center. A very important feature is also ActiveWeb, Unify’s proprietary system for controlling Web
applications. It ensures the availability of a channel between the browser and Web server which streamlines the update process in the browser.
The new version of NXJ process automation tool also includes some new controls enabling the connection with main data sources. These services include:
Advanced Data Grid, Date Picker, Cascading Menus, and Tree, as well as the ability to extend the ActiveWeb control set with Custom Controls. They are able to interact with .NET-based Web services.
Through the improvement initiative, NXJ will now offer forms that are more precisely integrated with NXJ Application Designer. The new version also enables the reuse of forms and form components that can be extended to provide a quicker and more conventional deployment environment.
NXJ 10.5 provides enterprises with the chance to deploy J2EE-based Web services as well as other J2EE applications either on NXJ Web Server or on another J2EE Web server.
