Saltmine (www.saltmine.com), a Web design and development firm, announced on November 30 that it has created a new Web site for the Seattle-based independent casual game developer Sprout Games (www.sproutgames.com). The new Web site features game downloads and player reviews as well as links to Sprout partners and distributors.
With several million downloads since Sprout Games first opened their doors in 2003, best-selling games like Feeding Frenzy and Word Harmony continue to grow in popularity. Primarily sold as PC games via partnerships with major game portals such as RealOne Arcade, Yahoo, Shockwave and MSN Game Zone, Sprout's games are also available on platforms as diverse as coin-op arcade games, cell phones and the XBox.
James Gwertzman, Sprout Games' Managing Director, said that Sprout Games is thrilled with the new site, that Saltmine did a great job capturing the essence of Sprout Games’ brand, that Sprout Games now has a great place for its customers to hang out, check out its games and learn about the company, and that the new site really helps Sprout Games take its business to the next level. Stephanie Crabtree, Saltmine’s account manager, said that the new site is the perfect vehicle for Sprout to communicate their personality, promote their games and increase customer loyalty.
