OurSportsCentral.com (www.oursportscentral.com) announced on November 8 that in an effort to make the team accessible to fans and potential players around the clock, the Manchester Wolves have added clickable banners to their website www.manchesterwolves.com. One banner allows fans to renew or purchase season tickets through an online form with the opportunity to win a Wolves jersey. The other banner allows interested potential players to sign up for open tryouts that are coming up on December 4.
Pro Sports Media, with which the Wolves have had a relationship since the team’s arrival in Manchester, designed the banners and forms for the website. The company does website design and implementation for several professional athletic organizations. The Wolves are the first professional football team that Pro Sports Media has worked with.
Manchester Wolves General Manager Angelo Mazzella said that the Wolves know that a great number of their fans are very comfortable using the Internet, and that the ability to take season ticket orders online takes the website to a new level for Wolves’ fans. Keith Easley, the Wolves Director of Football Operations, said that he is very pleased to have an online site for applicants to register for the team’s open tryouts, which are coming up in early December.
The jersey sweepstakes on the website will go through December 10 so the winner can use the jersey as a possible holiday gift. Each renewal or new season ticket purchase will gain an entry into the jersey sweepstakes. An extra sweepstakes entry will be added if the ticket purchaser refers a friend that the Wolves can contact about purchasing tickets for the 2005 season. The ability to purchase season tickets online will not end following the sweepstakes. The online tryout registration will end on December 2 in order for processing of registration information.
