Peter Morville, a best-selling author and founder of findability.org, reported the forthcoming launch of a Findability Campaign that will shed light on web design and web marketing as integrated parts of the Internet and the rapidly evolving wireless web.
The announced event will incorporate findability workshops in three of North America's major cities - Boston, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. The main topics of the workshops will copy the ideas stated in Mr. Morville's exclusive book, Information Architecture for the World Wide Web. The focus of attention will be themes such as findability strategies for web sites and interactive products, user experience design, search and navigation, as well as usability.
According to Peter Morville, President of Semantic Studios (semanticstudios.com) and President of the Asilomar Institute for Information Architecture, the greatest provocation for him to embark on this initiative was his ambition to equally rank findability and usability in terms of significance.
The announced event will take place as follows: Boston, MA: September 17; San Francisco, CA: October 25; Washington, DC: November 18. The number of attendees is limited, so all interested parties can place their registrations now at: http://semanticstudios.com/presentations/iaf/.
