Technology solutions provider - Idea Integration(R) (www.idea.com) made known to have put a successful end the Maintenance of Addressing and Parcels (MAP) system project for Douglas County, Colorado. The new scaleable MAP system has been designed to set new criteria for processes and workflow.
The newly-completed project bases on a detailed plan for the construction and testing of the system. It has been built in a GIS manner taking into consideration the county's three different disparate systems. In result, the Douglas County government is enabled to scale down repetitive data entry and allow related processes to share a single workflow.
Integrating GIS and CAMA systems, the MAP project is an instrument for maintaining spatial land features as well as the proper addressing of property within the county boundaries. This way, the new level of integration provides easier updates and maintenance of parcel and addressing systems.
The new MAP system gave Douglas County's people the opportunity to take part in all levels of the project in order to help the system reach the strategic objectives of the county. In the opinion of Stuart Schwartz, GIS manager of Douglas County, this way the solution is helping to improve efficiency and allow for greater employee productivity as well as an improved level of service for Douglas County.
