XemiComputers (www.xemico.com) announced a new feature for its Internet screensaver technology. Now screensavers designed using Internet ScreenSaver Builder can show HTML content in addition to the other features and automatic updates present in the previous versions of the program.
The new feature, called ShowHTML, can be included in a screensaver project in two ways. The first way allows you to embed HTML or MHT file in the project that you can later update on the screensaver’s web location when necessary. The second way gives you the opportunity to set a page URL to display, so a screensaver uses live content directly from the Internet or an intranet. Both methods can be used in the same project simultaneously and there are no limitations with regard to the type of HTML content used. All HTML content that can be displayed by a web browser can be displayed in the screensaver as well, but the user cannot interact with the content displayed within the screensaver.
Screensavers containing HTML content can be used for various purposes. For instance, you can demonstrate the key pages of your website in a slideshow with live content, or you can show the latest news about your company, or display a real-time stock quote on the screen directly from a web feed or simply use the capabilities of HTML to create effective screensavers. Internet ScreenSaver Builder is available for $49 per license for non-commercial purposes and for $149 per license for commercial use. Both licenses include unlimited free upgrade opportunities.
