Well-respected provider of innovative solutions such as strategic and implementation planning, as well as database design and development - GeoDecisions has been picked by The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to help it in the development of the Virginia Transport Information Portal (VTIP) - a web-based transportation data portal.
GeoDecisions' agreement with The Virginia Department of Transportation will foster the latter's initiative to develop the VIIP, a portal that provides easy and real-time access to the whole availability of transportation information regarding the Staunton, Salem, and Bristol Districts of Virginia. Another valuable advantage of VIIP is its support for the process of decision-taking.
Under the newly-struck agreement, GeoDecisions will give a great push to VIIP's development through the provision of its Geospatial Emergency Alert & Readiness SystemTM (GEARSTM) technology. It represents a set of affordable web-based tools, whose integration with the Virginia Transport Information Portal will enable VDOT users to rapidly gain access to the transport information needed.
