According to leading geospatial solutions provider - Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions (http://imgs.intergraph.com), the Turnpike Enterprise Asset Management System (TEAMS) has been deployed by the Florida Turnpike Enterprise. The newly-deployed system is built upon the new Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) display format and provides instant access to Florida Turnpike's asset data.
Through the newly-conducted deployment, Florida Turnpike's asset data is immediate to access and easy to plot in plan sheet format with a high-resolution air photo background or to insert directly into planning, design and construction CAD files. This way, Florida Turnpike's utility staff can now easily match roadway project design requirements, having the asset data in a suitable format.
The newly-deployed version of TEAMS boasts new SVG and CADD output capabilities which make it be the next stage in the evolution of the Web portal. The system now represents both a budgeting tool and a data integrator that ensures access to asset inventory data as well as to all of Turnpike's enterprise databases. The combination of Intergraph's Web mapping exporting capabilities and SVG enable the user to extract asset data from a user-defined area in the field of the map.
The TEAM's high level of functionality is largely due to the addition of Scalable Vector Graphics that enables rich graphic features, supports the
high-clarity display of both vector and raster content and manages enormous amounts of data on the basis of XML. Turning the Web into a virtual desktop, it
ensures users with unmatched functionality. Via common Web browser, consumers will find it pretty easy to create geometric objects and features, perform
manipulations, such as rotating areas, zooming in on features and moving map features to new locations or into design files.
