SouthEastern Trains, a train operator which runs services in Kent, South London and parts of East Sussex, covering 178 stations, 1,700 train journeys each day and handling 132.2 million passenger journeys every year, has appointed web design agency Fortune Cookie to redesign its website www.setrains.co.uk so that it can be easily accessed by those with disabilities and by users of various browsers and internet connection speeds.
Fortune Cookie, whose other clients include Europcar, Anglia Railways and National Express Group, will use Microsoft Content Management Server to create the SouthEastern Trains’ website, which will launch in autumn 2004, while the company Intranet will be produced using Microsoft Sharepoint.
