NBA.com (www.nba.com) announced that on November 2, the day the Detroit Pistons are presented with their championship rings and raise their banner as 2004 NBA Champions, the team will unveil an updated version of their website www.pistons.com.
The changes to the site focus on the aesthetics and navigation of the site by minimizing text and better utilizing available space. Drop-down menus have been added to create a much easier search for users. By placing the mouse over the headings “Tickets,” “News,” “Team Info,” “Schedule,” “Interactive” and “Community,” the user will be provided a wealth of information. The new website design uses more pictures to tell stories than its predecessor. In place of articles on the front page, more photos will be featured.
The new site features a month-at-a-glance calendar, which lists all events occurring on that specific day, whether those events be games, community events or player birthdays. The site also lists the team leaders in points, rebounds and assists on the front page.
