A new search toolbar, Firefox Toolbar, has been launched, which, unlike most Internet Explorer only toolbars, is for the users of the alternate open source browser Firefox and Mozilla. Firefox Toolbar (www.firefoxtoolbar.com), is a set of free toolbars made by a company called Vpop Technologies (www.vpop.net), whose first product, UltraBar, had the features of Google Toolbar but with added usability for the users as it let them add their own custom search engines, which Google Toolbar did not allow.
Google Inc.'s employees and other insiders will be free to sell an additional 4.67 million shares of the company's stock on September 2. Google is also lifting selling restrictions on 39.1 million additional shares in mid-November, 24.9 million more shares in mid-December and another 24.9 million shares in mid-January 2005.
Worldwide distribution of the new iMac will begin in mid-September – a few months ahead of the Mac OS X "Tiger" operating system, which contains 150 new applications and should be available in early 2005. Following up on information about KDE's upcoming desktop search utility, Microsoft has announced that they will release Longhorn, their new operating system, without WinFS, which means that Longhorn will arrive without a desktop search utility. Instead, Microsoft will release a test version of WinFS when Longhorn becomes available to the public
