TrafficMentor (www.trafficmentorseo.com), the Search Engine Marketing Experts, officially announced on October 11 that they are renaming their firm Telic Media. TrafficMentor has changed its name because there was confusion between the company and a multi-level marketing firm that refused to part with the trafficmentor.com domain. TrafficMentor claimed that in the search for a new identity, it wanted a name that signalled its core values.
Telic means "purposeful" or "directed", which, according to TrafficMentor, gets to the heart of its mission: building its clients' online businesses through purposeful and directed search engine marketing efforts. TrafficMentor stated that Telic Media is to the point, but also short and memorable, and that TrafficMentor doesn't have to compete with another company for the domain.
Telic Media (www.telicmedia.com) was founded over two years ago by former executives at Overture (www.overture.com), the premier pay-per-click search engine. Together, the partners of Telic Media helped build the product management, technology, sales and marketing functions of Overture. As such, they bring a search engine insiders experience and knowledge to maximizing their clients search engine visibility.
