Metamorphosis.org.mk (www.metamorphosis.org.mk) announced on October 20 that the first Croatian search engine has been launched. Pogodak.hr (www.pogodak.hr) is a unique search engine for the Croatian cyberspace and is primarily developed for the Croatian Internet users. The main aim of the search engine is to provide a quality search of the Croatian Internet space to users.
The Pogodak.hr search engine’s home page looks like Google’s. There are over three million Croatian documents in its database, and the technology is based on the most up-to-date search algorithms in the world. The search engine is developed in Java and uses the same technology as the Slovenian search engine Najdi si (www.najdi.si). The indexes of the Croatian web sites will be updated weekly, and the most important ones every day.
