Indianapolis, Indiana-based e-Practical Solutions, Inc. (www.e-psinc.com), which educates companies about appropriate SEO, Web Searchability and other Internet marketing and communication services, announced on August 11 the adoption of the Bruce Clay Search Engine Optimization code of ethics (www.e-psinc.com/code_of_ethics.asp).
According to Montgomery Vaughn, VP of SEO Practices at e-Practical Solutions, some SEO companies practice tactics that try to cheat the search engines to boost their client’s websites to the top until the sites are actually banned, and being banned from Google, for example, which handles over 36% of all the searches on the Web, creates a variety of costs like loss of traffic, the cost of revising the website to make it follow the rules and the cost of navigating the Google re-instatement process. Mike Seidle, VP of Business Development, added that, as a company, e-Practical Solutions must take any step it can to improve the industry and educate website owners so they do not fall prey to gimmicks and tricks that cause their sites to be banned by Google, Yahoo or MSN.
