Japan Today (www.japantoday.com) announced on October 21 that Yahoo Japan Corp, Japan's largest Internet portal site operator, said that the daily access to its portal site reached 1.03 billion hits on October 20.
Yahoo Japan (www.yahoo.co.jp), a core unit of a business group led by the Internet service provider Softbank Corp (www.softbank.co.jp), said that the firm, which started as an Internet search engine in 1996, has grown into the country's largest portal and one of the world's biggest.
