The dedicated Web hosting provider EV1Servers (www.ev1servers.net) announced on April 18 that it has received approval to become an ICANN-accredited domain name registrar. With its new status, EV1Servers will be eligible to handle the .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info and .us domains.
EV1Servers plans to introduce an enhanced domain registration system by the second quarter of 2005. The new system will feature DNS management and URL forwarding, and will be available to new users and owners of domains handled through the OpenSRS platform.
Robert Marsh, CEO of EV1Servers, said that this is great news for both EV1 and its customers, and that this project is part of EV1’s ongoing effort to support its customers' businesses.
