Moniker.com (www.moniker.com), one of the top three fastest growing ICANN-accredited domain name registrars, announced on April 4 its year end results. The company grew to 17th position on the list of over 450 ICANN-accredited domain registrars – from 89th in 2002, and increased its registered domain names to over 560 000 – a 293% growth. In addition, domain sales revenue increased with 405% while active customer accounts increased with 211%.
Monte Cahn, CEO of Moniker.com, said that this was a very exciting year for Moniker.com, that Moniker.com grew through direct sales, customer referrals and successful marketing activity, that Moniker.com was granted domain accreditation for two additional properties: DomainSystems.com and CoolHandle.com, and that Moniker.com purchased a new registrar – AceofDomains.com.
Moniker.com’s President Eric Harrington said that Moniker.com expects 2005 to be an exciting year for the domain name industry and another positive year for Moniker.com, that a number of important new domain extensions will be introduced including .jobs, .travel, .mobi and .eu, that Moniker.com projects that it will pass 1 million domain names under management and will have over 1.5 million under management in its combined corporate units, and that Moniker.com will likely enter the top 10 on the list of ICANN-accredited domain name registrars.
