The domain name registrar and online services provider eNom (www.enom.com) announced on June 2 that it now hosts more than six million domain names on its platform, including more than four million domains registered under eNom itself.
The Associated Press (www.ap.org) announced on June 2 that ICANN (www.icann.org) has approved .xxx domains and asked porn websites to have .xxx as their domain instead of .com. Sexually explicit sites will be encouraged to move to the new domains to make it easier for people to filter and avoid them. The $12 billion online porn industry can begin buying .xxx domain names by this fall or winter for $60 each.

He replaces Willie Black, the founder of Nominet, who left the company in December 2004. Bob Gilbert was a company law specialist and Deputy Senior Partner of Wragge & Co, a Midlands-based law firm. He remains a consultant to the company, continuing to hold a number of non-executive Chairmanships of publicly quoted companies as well.
