There are no set up fees for all UNIX/Linux domain hosting and multiple domain hosting plans of FateBack. There aren’t any late fees as well.

Monthly fee

The prices displayed here are for a monthly billing cycle. With an annual billing cycle, the prices are even lower. Depending on which plan you choose there are various discounts from 10% to 35%, if you pay for an annual billing cycle instead of a monthly billing cycle.

15 days money back guarantee

If for any reason, you are unhappy with the web hosting service that we provide simply inform us that you cancel your order within 15 days from the sign up date and we will refund the money for all accounts that you have paid.
Domain registration/transfer is not refundable.

Disc storage (MB)

The amount of data storage that you have available for your account is measured in megabytes (MB). It includes all your files: html files, graphic files, music/audio files, e-mail messages and all other files that you could use on your website.
If you need additional disk space, you can always make an upgrade.

Data transfer (GB)

Every time when html files, graphic files, music/audio files and any other files are loaded from your website is considered data transfer. With the exception of FTP upload, all other external traffic is considered data transfer.
If you need additional bandwidth/data transfer, you can always make an upgrade from the web hosting control panel.

Domain names hosted

Your domain will be your online identity for your family, friends and business partners. So be careful when you create your domain and choose the text and graphical content that you want to use. FateBack offers two plans for domain hosting and two plans for multiple domain hosting.
In addition, we can host virtually any top-level domain (TLD), regardless of whether its extension is .co.uk, .us or any other TLD extension!

Sub-domains

A sub-domain is an individual web address based on an already existing domain, for example, froogle.google.com. Froogle is a sub-domain of the already existing second-level domain google.com.
The addition of sub-domains is easy and can be done from the control panel with just a few mouse clicks.

Custom MX and A records

Mail Exchange Record (MX Record) is a mail server record that determines the mail servers that will manage e-mail for a specific domain. If a user has more than one mail server, the MX Records can also determine the order in which the mail servers will be used primary, secondary, backup, etc. An A record is a DNS address resource record. It links a host’s name to its address and indicates the Internet Protocol address of the host in dotted decimal form. Each host address should have one A record.

Free web templates

FateBack’s list of web templates consists of more than 150 web templates. Each template contains a .pdf file (Adobe Photoshop) and .html files (FrontPage and DreamWeaver). Depending on the chosen plan, we provide one free web template even with monthly payment for the Domain Hosting and the Domain Hosting Plus plans. Two free web templates are provided with the Multiple Domain Hosting plan and five free web templates are offered with the Multiple Domain Hosting Plus plan.

Free domain names

Depending on the chosen plan, we provide one free domain name with annual payment for the Domain Hosting and the Domain Hosting Plus plans. Two free domain names are provided with the Multiple Domain Hosting plan and five free domain names are offered with the Multiple Domain Hosting Plus plan.

Our free website builder is sufficiently advanced to help you build your own web pages! Site Studio provides a set of web templates with appealing design for your web pages. First, you choose a template and a color scheme that you like and then you input the text and other content for your website. You can achieve good results even with the simple web templates provided by Site Studio, but you may also add your own graphics to create an even more individual appearance for your web pages!

FrontPage Extensions

FrontPage is a product of Microsoft. Using FrontPage, you can easily build and manage your website. To be able to publish your web pages or your entire website created with FrontPage, the server where the website will be hosted must support FrontPage Extensions. FateBack supports FrontPage Extensions!

POP3 e-mail accounts

Every web hosting plan includes a specific number of e-mail accounts. In addition, each of our shared web hosting packages comes with a specific number of POP3 e-mail accounts, together with e-mail aliases, forwarders and auto responders. You can decide what e-mail client to use to view your POP3 e-mail accounts: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.

E-mail aliases

E-mail aliases can be set up as additional e-mail accounts under a single domain name or different domain names. If, for instance, your first e-mail address is myinbox@mydomain.com and you wish to add a second e-mail address to your mailing account, you can use an e-mail alias to set up your second e-mail address as myotherinbox@mydomain.com.

Mailing lists

A mailing list is a system, which allows people to send an e-mail message to a single address, where their massage and its attachments are copied and resent to all other e-mail addresses in this specific mailing list. This is very convenient, especially when you have a newsletter, which you send to your customers or a group of individuals, who have subscribed to your newsletter. Important! We do not tolerate any e-mail spam activities covered under the mailing list service of FateBack.

SPAM filter

Using a SPAM filter, you can sort out unwanted e-mail messages. We use SPAM Assassin software to filter unwanted e-mails. Usually the SPAM Assassin software with the default settings that we offer will successfully filter 85-95% of all unwanted e-mail messages. If you devote sufficient amounts of time and attention to the additional settings of the SPAM filter, you can considerably increase this percentage to 95-99% combining it with the additional manual settings of the e-mail filter!

E-mail filter

The e-mail filter is a different service from the SPAM filter. The SPAM filter has two levels of protection (low and high), while e-mail filter has specific conditions and requirements, which should be set up manually for additional filtration according to the specified conditions for receiving and sorting of your incoming e-mail messages.

Web e-mail

All your e-mail accounts can be viewed using a web interface. From the control panel you can log into your e-mail accounts. It is a free web-based e-mail system for quick and easy access to your mailbox. It can be used from anywhere and at any time, no e-mail client software is required only a web browser.

POP3 server

POP3 Server is a mail server that supports the POP3 protocol. Used for retrieval and sending of e-mail messages using the POP3 protocol.

SMTP server

An SMTP server is a mail server that supports the SMTP protocol (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) for e-mail transfer. Most e-mail client software uses SMTP protocol to send e-mail messages from one server to another. These e-mail messages can be retrieved through POP3, IMAP or web-based e-mail.

E-mail forwarding

E-mail forwarding is a concept very similar to e-mail aliases. Using this service, you can also forward e-mail messages to Yahoo e-mail accounts, AOL e-mail accounts, Hotmail e-mail accounts, etc. wherever you wish.
In other words, an e-mail message to your.email.account@yourdomain.com can be forwarded to your.friends.account@hotmail.com for example, as well as to any other e-mail address that you specify for this service.

Autoresponder e-mails

An auto-responder is an automatic message that you leave for a specific e-mail inbox. Whenever an e-mail message is received in this inbox, an automatic reply message is sent.
For example, if you are on holiday and you are not able to check you e-mail for this reason, it would be suitable to leave an auto-responder message that you will reply to the correspondence that you have received when you get back from your holiday.

Catch-all e-mails

A catchall e-mail account is used to collect all e-mail messages sent to any user (existing or not) at your domain name. In other words, if an e-mail message is sent to any address ending in @yourdomain.com, the message will be accepted and stored in a specific mailbox that you designate.

Anti-Virus protection

We have anti-virus software installed on all servers from our hosting network. The software checks all e-mail messages for viruses according to the latest virus definitions that were downloaded. A check for new virus definitions is carried out every two hours and if a new virus definition was released it is downloaded and installed on all servers from our hosting network.

MySQL databases

A database is a structurally organized collection of data. For example, it could be anything from a simple picture gallery to specialized information from a corporate network. To have access to the structured database you need to use a database management system such as MySQL. If you want to offer a message board or forum or a newsgroup on your website, you will definitely need a database management system.

phpMyAdmin

phpMyAdmin is an application written in PHP for management of MySQL databases via the Internet. Using this application, you can create and drop databases, create, modify or drop tables and fields, execute SQL statements, manage privileges, and export data into different formats.

Perl support

The Practical Extraction and Support Language or PERL is a general-purpose programming language created by Larry Wall in 1987. It is a popular choice for web development, text processing, Internet services and even e-mail filtering, graphical programming, systems administration, and other general tasks needing a portable and easy to develop solution. PERL is used by more than one million developers all over the world.

PHP support

Hypertext Preprocessor or PHP is a server-side HTML embedded scripting language used to build dynamic web pages. A dynamic web page is a page, which provides interaction with the visitor, thus displaying content personalized for the specific visitor. Since PHP is an open source language, it is freely available and is often used on Linux and UNIX web servers. In addition, PHP provides an excellent alternative to Microsoft’s Active Server Pages (ASP) technology. The script written in PHP is embedded within a web page together with its HTML code, similar to an ASP script. Before resolving the web page, the web server calls PHP to interpret and carry out the actions required by the PHP script. A HTML page containing PHP script usually has one of the following extensions .php, .php4 or .phtml.

PHP support in HTML files

The execution of PHP commands in .html files is supported by our servers. This is especially suitable for search engine optimizations, since most search engines do not index dynamic web pages, except in cases when the website is considered important by the specific search engine.

A PERL module is a reusable package defined in a library file, the name of which coincides with the name of the package (with a .pm extension).

Crontab support

Crontab is a UNIX command for scheduling tasks that should be carried out at certain time in the future. A cron is typically used to schedule a task to be carried out periodically, for instance, to send an e-mail message to members of a specific mail list each month. Crontab is a daemon process, which it means that it is constantly running and is waiting for the occurrence of pre-defined events.

FTP accounts

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is used as a method to upload files for your website to the server from our web hosting network where your account is located. You have unlimited access to your domains via FTP 24/7. FateBack is completely compatible with all FTP client software.

Web based file manager

The web-based file manager allows you to upload files from your hard drive directly to our servers. The web-based file manager is conceptually and functionally similar to web-based FTP clients, but has much more limited capabilities compared to FTP clients.

Custom ERROR 404 pages

If a web browser displays a HTML Error 404 message, this means that the requested web page or object could not be found on the queried server. Most often, this happens when a web page was moved renamed, a user has misspelled the address of the webpage, or the operating system on the server is case sensitive.

Password protected directories

FateBack gives you the opportunity to protect files that are very important for you in directories with high level of security protected by a password. All other files that according to you could be publicly available, you can put into directories with low level of security, which are not protected by a password by default.

After the latest improvements to our new control panel, its interface has become even easier to use. We have concentrated mainly on improving the arrangement and functionality when we have introduced our latest enhancements. In this way, our control panel has become even more intuitive and the control over the separate command sections has become so easy that even Martin, the one-year old son of our financial and marketing manager, handles the control panel with the same ease that he handles his Matchbox toy cars when he plays with his father in the evenings.

Unrestricted bandwidth

You can use all bandwidth that is available to your account at any given moment. We do not impose any daily weekly or other bandwidth limitations. The usage of the bandwidth available to your account is completely unrestricted. In other words, you could use the entire bandwidth channel that is available to the specific data center at any given moment.

SSI support (Server-Side Includes)

Server-Side Include (SSI) is a command in the form of an HTML comment that communicates with the web server and executes a specific task as a part of a page download. There is no SSI standard available yet and different servers provide support for different commands. If the extension of the web page that you are visiting is .shtml, most likely it was partially generated using SSI commands.

SSL with certificate generation

SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer. SSL allows encrypted, authenticated communication over the Internet. It provides secure e-commerce transactions. If the URL of the page that you are visiting starts with https://, this means that the page is using SSL.
SSL certificate generation provides an unsigned SSL certificate code, before sending it to an authorized registrar for approval.

SSH support (Secure Shell Access)

SSH stands for Secure Shell. It gives you the opportunity to access your website securely using SSH encryption software. SSH can be very useful to advanced web developers.
Using this service, you can execute commands on the server, regardless of where you are located, even if you are thousands of miles away from the server.
Secure Shell Access support is optional for the Domain Hosting and the Domain Hosting Plus plans, which means that it needs to be activated from the control panel for an additional one-time fee of $15.00. SSH access support is included in the Multiple Domain Hosting and the Multiple Domain Hosting Plus plans and no additional fee is required for the activation of the service.

Raw access and error logs

Raw access logs record all visits to your web site and all hits inside your website as well.
Error logs track all mistakes on a website or web server. Various websites or web servers often generate custom error logs, showing how the website or web server was used or abused. System administrators usually rely on these logs, which they retrieve and examine for the errors that have occurred.
You can download the files with raw access logs and error logs and analyze them from a marketing perspective to get the idea, which of your strategies work and which do not and respond appropriately.

Traffic stats - WebAlizer

WebAlizer is a useful instrument for tracking the interest of visitors to your website. WebAlizer offers statistics of how long have visitors stayed on your site, what pages they have visited and the order in which those pages were viewed. In addition, WebAlizer also shows the most popular entry/exit pages, what browsers are used by your visitors and in which countries is your website most popular. If you activate referrer logs, you will also have graphical information on how users have found your website most frequently. WebAlizer can be set up to run on nightly or weekly basis.

Detailed bandwidth stats

All customers have access to a detailed summary of their bandwidth stats. The control panel provides constant information about how much bandwidth you have used and how much bandwidth you have remaining until the end of the current month.

At present, Linux is the most popular, freely distributable open source operating system, which can work on various hardware platforms. The kernel of the operating system has been originally developed by Linus Torvalds. Daily data back-up

We treat our clients’ information with the utmost care. This is the reason why we back up all the information on our servers on a daily basis. Should a technical problem arise, we can restore all the information from the previous day.
What is the method of backup?
One a week, a complete backup is made. All files are checked on a daily basis and the new and/or edited ones are backed up to a directory with the current date. This is an automatic procedure and in case that a recovery is needed, we simply specify the directory from which the recovery should be carried out and the date(s) of the file(s) that we need to recover.
Backups are kept for 2 weeks, which means that at any time there are two complete and 12 daily backups available.

UPS & diesel back-up generator

We use powerful UPSes and a backup diesel electricity generator, for cases of prolonged power outage.

This service is offered only with annual payment for any of the hosting plans.
